Michelle Chong on the hunt for 3 Peas in a Pod’s lead actress

There is a stark increase in film budget (S$1.7mil) for 3 Peas in a Pod -- almost two times Already Famous' S$900k budget! Are you stressed about breaking even for this movie?
Haha...I am a calculated risk taker.

Are you excited about working with an international cast? Any plans to take the promotional work on the road to the lead actors' hometowns as well?
Not only will I be working with an international cast, half of the crew would be Australian. Yes I'm really excited and wish I can fast forward all the nitty-gritty of pre-production to the actual production in Australia, which is what I enjoy most, even more so than the launch of the movie

Are you worried that the departure from The Noose might affect your star appeal one way or another?
The Noose has given me so much (including my Porsche I suspect) and I'm so grateful to the people who gave me the opportunity to do what I do on The Noose. But at this stage in my life, I just want to concentrate more on behind the scenes, but it doesn't mean I'll never do The Noose again. Maybe one day I can come back and do a Lulu cum Leticia cum Adrianna Wow cum Nancy Goh cum Barbarella Special!

In a xinmsn feature we did over the New Year, we expressed our wishes to see you work on a comedy TV series (or online series) after your second movie...
Then I would really work on it just to fulfill xinmsn's wishes! I really, really want to conceptualise and write a new comedy series! Actually I had a great idea for a mockumentary last year, but I ran into some Intellectual Property rights issues and the idea had to be dropped, hence now I'm doing 3 Peas, but I'm not giving up on that idea altogether. Maybe that will be the next movie after 3 Peas!

Any new plans for Left Profile this year? An expansion or new signings?
Yes, actually we are in the midst of talking to a few people. :)

With your own artiste management firm, Left Profile, are you looking to give FLY Entertainment a run for their money?
We are seriously not competing with anyone. We only want to look after ourselves and look after ourselves well.

What else are you looking to achieve in 2013?
In 2013, I hope to achieve a sense of peace and maybe firmer skin.
