Namie Amuro made a stop in sunny Singapore for the first time in her 20-year music career. A crowd of 300 gave a warm welcome to the 34-year-old at the airport last Thursday evening. The star showed her appreciation by signing a lucky fan's poster.
The diva then had a cosy closed-door press conference with the media and 20 lucky fans at KU DÉ TA, where she shared her experiences and answered questions from the floor.
The next evening, Namie made a surprise visit to Dragonfly, St James Power Station, where "Amuro Night" was organised in celebration of her maiden visit to our sunny island. Namie, her dancers and fans all had a blast that night.
Before leaving Singapore, the J-pop icon squeezed in a visit to the Merlion at Sentosa. Speaking of Singapore fondly, Namie expressed her wish to return here for a full-scale concert in the near future.
