Nicholas Tse’s lonely 33rd birthday
Hong Kong movie star Nicholas Tse turned 33 yesterday and according to media reports, the birthday boy chose to celebrate his special day at home.
Nicholas had just returned to Hong Kong in the early hours of the morning on his birthday (August 29) after a late night outdoor shoot for his upcoming movie, From Vegas to Macau, and was immediately greeted by paparazzi who were camping outside his apartment.
The tired actor was probed about his birthday plans and whether he misses his sons, Lucas and Quintus Tse. Good naturedly turning down the interviews, Nicholas went straight into his residential building at Pacific Place and was not seen leaving his apartment for the rest of the day.
Instead, Nicholas’s mother Deborah Lee was spotted paying her son a visit in the afternoon. “My home cooked soup is the best gift for him,” she said happily when approached by reporters.
After a long wait, Nicholas finally agreed to a phone interview and revealed that he was very touched by his mother’s sweet gesture. The 33-year-old also added that he misses Lucas and Quintus dearly and is planning to visit them in Canada shortly.
