Project SuperStar will return this year for a third season but with a fresh concept: for the first time, there will be no age limit for contestants and groups will also be allowed to compete to emerge as the ultimate superstar.
This year's Project SuperStar introduced another new element as all three judges, singer-songwriter Roy Li, Jean Yip Groups Dawn Yip and producer Eric Ng, will each mentor four of the contestants, all of whom will still battle it out as individuals.
The last three groups standing unfortunately failed to make the cut when the top 12 lineup was unveiled on Saturday. 6000 contestants signed up for this year's contest, with 67 making it through to the third audition before finally being cut to make the top 12.
With some of the contestants training for up to eight years just for this we round up this years top 12, their thoughts on their strengths and weaknesses and give you our pick of who we think are the three frontrunners for this year's contest based on our five minutes with them.
