Patty Hou’s non-existent baby bump

No baby bump seen on the Taiwanese TV host despite being five months pregnant

Taiwanese TV host Patty Hou announced her pregnancy earlier this year, three years after her marriage to sales trader tycoon Ken Huang.

Though she is now supposed to be five months pregnant, when she turned up at a restaurant with her husband recently, a gust of wind pressed her loose top against her body, revealing her slim silhouette, and no baby bump could be seen. This sparked speculations that she may have been getting a surrogate mother for her child.

Her management responded, saying that she had initially weighed 47kg, and gained 3kg after pregnancy. “She has always been very skinny, and it’s not easy for her to gain weight. Though she’s eating normally now, she has cravings for fruit when she got pregnant, so that may be why she hasn’t been gaining a lot of weight.”

A representative from the company also added: “Perhaps the top she was wearing that day was too loose, but everyone in the company has seen her with her baby bump.”

Her management also revealed that the couple has yet to find out the gender of their child, but as Ken does not have any sisters, he preferred a girl.

Patty’s workload has increased after her pregnancy, and she now has four endorsement deals and an income of at least NT21.8 million (approximately S$910,000).
