The Taipei Golden Horse Award, one of the most prestigious film award ceremonies in the Chinese film scene, was held on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Yi-lan, Taipei.

The who's who of the Chinese film industry hit the red carpet at the prestigious Taipei Golden Horse Awards held on Saturday in northeastern Taiwan's Ilan county.

A-list stars including Hong Kong actors Jackie Chan and Andy Lau and Taiwanese model and actress Lin Chi-ling arrived at the 49th edition of the ceremony - often regarded as the Chinese-language 'Oscars' - and were greeted by screaming fans who turned up in droves despite an evening downpour.
