Lynn Poh

Like every girl who dreams of being a princess, Lynn Poh got her fairytale-like last Friday.

The stunning bride was dressed in a flowing white wedding gown sponsored by The Wedding Mansion and accessorized in pearl jewellery by Swiss luxury brand HODEL that evening.

"Maybe it's because I had always wanted to be a princess since young!" said Lynn, when asked about her choice of wedding gown during an interview with xinmsn at St Regis.

According to Lynn's second sister, the bride had 2 sets of jewellery for her wedding, which amounted to S$300,000 and S$200,000 respectively. However, she declined to divulge the value of Lynn's ring - stating that the ring was something priceless.

Lynn and hubby, banker Ryan Gwee, had previously dated for six years before the latter proposed to her with a one-carat diamond ring on Christmas Day.

The celebrations on Friday extended through the day for the 34-year-old newly-weds. The pair first held a traditional tea ceremony in the morning, followed by registering their union (ROM) and throwing a 30-table wedding banquet at night.

Joking that getting married was even more exhausting than a live television programme, Lynn said, "The entire wedding proceeding is like a live charity show. You need to start rehearsals 2 months before and repeatedly do the same thing every day just to present your best on the actual day!"

The blissful bride was also overwhelmed by the happenings during the wedding that she teared up numerous times during the event - when her parents covered her face with the bridal veil, while offering tea to her elders and finally, during the couple's speech on stage, where Ryan thanked her for her understanding ways and promised to grow old together.

Giving thanks to her family at the wedding, Lynn also made it a point to especially thank former boss Mr Man Shu Sum for the opportunities he gave her.

"I'm here today because of him," she said.
