Considering the Simpsons propensity to poke fun at the Fox network, it was brave for proprieter Rupert Murdoch to accept a guest slot on the show during the Super Bowl episode in season 10 - particularly one where he described himself (possibly accurately) as a '"billionaire tyrant".

The episode also featured appearances by Dolly Parton, a host of former NFL stars including Dan Marino, and comic actor Fred Willard.

Murdoch went on to appear in the show once more, alongside Simon Cowell and the American Idol judges in season 21.
