Raymond Lam comes clean: Yes I’m dating Karena Ng

It's official, Raymond Lam is attached and seeing 19 year-old Karena Ng.

The pair has been romantically linked ever since they co-starred in the movie Love is...Pyjamas. Both have maintained a "just friends" stance although they have been photographed behaving intimately on numerous occasions. Dating rumours soon escalated after Karena showed her support at Raymond's concert in Hong Kong last month and the latter also reportedly dedicated the song 'BB' to her onstage.

After months of speculations, the Hong Kong actor-singer finally broke his silence on their relationship during a backstage interview yesterday.

Admitting that the model-actress is his "loved one", Raymond revealed the two of them have been dating for "quite some time".

He expressed, "I seldom talk about my personal life in public. However, as a man, I have to stand up and protect my loved ones, including my family, when they are innocently implicated into this matter."

Karena got slammed for being "materialistic", following reports which suggested Raymond was cohabiting with her and paying for her entire family's living expenses, which includes the monthly rent for their luxury apartment.

Dismissing these allegations, the 33-year-old commented, "[Karena's] family is quite well-off and she has a great personality."

Raymond's confession was seen as an act to put the negative comments to rest. However, his fans are still in denial and refuse to accept that their idol is in love. Karena is believed to have suffered backlash from Raymond's fans and they even left nasty remarks on her microblog.
