It was a night of nostalgia that those of us who grew up in the 80s would never forget.

Retrolicious may have become an annual affair, but last night’s concert was undoubtedly the one fans have been waiting for. After all, it featured the best line-up since its induction four years ago: Belinda Carlisle, Rick Astley, and Bananarama.
And like them, I too was eager to see these invincible 80s pop icons share the same stage at Fort Canning Park for the first time. Thankfully, Retrolicious Reunion started promptly at 8pm, with the Class 95FM DJs taking to the stage to show off their 80s best - there was ‘The Blues Brothers’ (Glenn Ong and Joe Augustine) as well as ‘Danny’ and ‘Sandy’ from Grease (Mike Kasem and Jean Danker respectively).
After a quick introduction and some banter, the DJs passed the stage over to former Go-Go’s lead singer Belinda Carlisle, who opened the show with “Runaway Horses” to the 6,000-strong crowd.
