Ricky Hsiao & Tiger Huang put on their dancing shoes for upcoming concert

Taiwanese singers Ricky Hsiao and Tiger Huang were in Singapore on Monday to promote their upcoming “True Voice” concert in March.
In an interview with xinmsn on Monday, Ricky said that they will be reviewing their classic songs together with their fans at their concert, and the audience can also anticipate exclusive unplugged versions and other new renditions of their songs.
The Taiwanese singer also explained the concept behind their concert, “Our true voice represents our emotions, our lives and our ups and downs.”
In addition, the duo will also be collaborating for a dance for the first time, and this is a challenge for both the visually handicapped Ricky and his dance partner Tiger.
However, the two are extremely excited about their dance performance and they revealed that dance practices will begin as soon as they return to Taiwan after the overseas promotional activities for their concert.
Besides maintaining a close working relationship, the two singers are great friends as well. “You would not believe that we have a 13-year age gap just by looking at our physical appearance,” Tiger joked.
Ricky also revealed that their friendship goes a long way back. “I started making my own music in 2003, and at that time I was still an unknown and not many people in Taiwan knew who I was. But Tiger and I already knew each other, and she often brought me to different places to perform and introduced me to people,” he said.
Their friendship grew stronger after Ricky wrote the song Not So Simple for Tiger, which later became one of her greatest hits.
“She introduced me to our current company Warner Music after I wrote the song for her, and she was my mentor from then. We interacted a lot and after working closely with each other, we found out that our ideals are quite similar and we share a lot of common thoughts on music. That’s when we realised that we are actually very suitable working partners.”
The duo also ventured into areas outside of their music and are each busy with their individual activities as well. Ricky recently started his own massage business which is reportedly doing well.
Meanwhile, Tiger also took up her first big-screen comedy role in the movie Kara King, acting alongside popular Hong Kong comedian Ng Man Tat.
