Taiwanese actor Tony Yang may marry girlfriend Amber Kuo soon
Taiwanese actor Tony Yang’s mother recently revealed that her son and his actress girlfriend Amber Kuo may tie the knot soon.
According to the Taiwanese media, the couple’s new movie David Loman grossed NT$2 billion (approximately S$8.3 million) in box office sales in the first two weeks of opening.
To celebrate the movie’s box office success, Tony and his manager booked the entire theatre and treated about 150 relatives and friends to a special screening of the film on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media, Tony happily said, “I have been receiving the box office figures every day, and I had an enjoyable new year.”
The actor’s parents were also present at the screening and even handed out movie tickets to the guests personally.
Tony’s mother said, “His previous movies have never surpassed NT$1 million in box office sales, he has set a new record.”
She was also all praise for Amber’s acting, saying “I was moved to tears by her acting in the scene portraying family love.”
During the event, Tony’s mother let slip that the singer-actress had visited the Yang family during the Lunar New Year, and that the couple may get married soon.
“She is a very good and obedient girl. She even gave a red packet to You Ning’s grandmother, who is the eldest in the family.”
When asked about his plans for Valentine’s Day, Tony jokingly said that he does not have the practice of celebrating Valentine’s Day, but later confessed that he did not make any special arrangements for the occasion.
