Tang Wei, Nick Cheung & Shawn Yue audition for Hollywood film
On Sunday afternoon, Chinese actress Tang Wei, and Hong Kong actors Nick Cheung and Shawn Yue were spotted attending an audition at a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, where renowned director Michael Mann was staying at.
Having produced Hollywood productions such as Hancock, Public Enemies and Texas Killing Fields, Mann is reportedly working on the script for his upcoming Hollywood action thriller. He plans to feature a pair of Chinese siblings in the film and is believed to be on the search for the actress who will play the role of a “sister”. Production for his new film will commence in the United States in June.
When asked on the results of her “audition” after she was seen leaving the hotel for the airport, Tang Wei avoided answering the question with a smile. However, sources revealed that the actress stands a high chance of landing the role as Mann was impressed by her English speaking abilities.
According to media reports, Nick Cheung and British-Chinese model Janine arrived at the hotel in the evening that day and left together in a seven-seater car after meeting the director for half an hour. Shawn Yue was also seen leaving the hotel with his assistant after a 20-minute-long visit.
The movie stars Thor actor Chris Hemsworth as the male lead and will be based on the theme of hackers and computer technology. It will be produced by the movie company that created the blockbuster movie The Dark Knight and some of the scenes are expected to be shot in Hong Kong in July.
