Myolie guest-starred in her first Chinese drama, Schemes of a Beauty in 2009 and was well-received by the public. She became the lead actress in her second drama, Happy Mother-in-law Pretty Daughter-in-law in the same year and gained popularity in the China market soon after.

She currently has two dramas on hand and welcomed the idea of spending more time filming in China.

Myolie expressed, "Not too many people knew who I was while filming there [China]. I felt a sense of freedom and I was able to live life like a normal person. Things went back to the usual state when I return to Hong Kong!"

The actress was recently romantically linked to Jin Yu Man Tang co-star, Taiwanese actor, Eric Huang. Eric was said to be Myolie's new love interest after she ended her eight-year relationship with Bosco Wong in July this year. Eric and Myolie dismissed such allegations and claimed that they were "just colleagues."

The 32-year-old has also stressed that she wants to "focus on work right now".
