John Matrix – Commando (1985)
They don’t make action movies like they used to. Today it’s all about brooding heroes and kinetic, swirly-handed fight scenes. But there was once a time when all you needed to make a good action movie was a ripped physique, a big gun and a seemingly inexhaustible swarm of henchmen to dispatch. That time was around 1985 when Schwarzenegger starred in this far-fetched kill spree. With a plot that’s barely plausible and a cast that’s only a shade more believable; Commando is big, silly and noisy, but in the best possible way.
