Kristen Stewart's post Twilight career finally seems to be taking off, though it's been a bumpy ride. Initially, she wasn't taken entirely seriously, and instead was the subject of College Humor videos and jealousy on behalf of those envious of her relationship with her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. However, she did do a great job in the indie comedy Adventureland (2009), and her star turn as rocker Joan Jett in Canadian director Floria Sigmismondi's The Runaways (2010) was sadly overlooked.
Snow White in the Huntsman (2012), in which she starred opposite Chris Hemsworth, was supposed to establish her as a fully-fledged leading woman, but the film itself failed to inspire and her performance was overshadowed by her infamous 'clinch' with director Rupert Sanders. Jack Kerouac adaptation On The Road (2012), was slightly better received, though Stewart's performance as Marylou failed to convince some critics.
