Come early August, on your drive down ECP (East Coast Parkway) – in the direction towards the CBD or Marina Bay Sands area – chances are you’d spot a big (white) top with a handful of tents sprouting on the grass fields, just beside the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. This big white top, the biggest of its kind seen in Singapore and across the world, requires 12 days and 150 people to set up, and it would house a traveling equestrian theatrical performing group called ‘Cavalia,’ which features horses as its main stars of attraction (more on next slide).

Cavalia’s novel and interesting concept is never seen before in Singapore, but it is not the first of its kind to be staged on our sunny shores. From theatrical-acrobatic performances, like the recently concluded Le Noir, to circuses and titillating cabaret shows, here are of some of the most unique travelling shows ever staged in Singapore.

Cavalia premieres August 12 in Singapore at the White Theatre Tent, beside the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Tickets are on sale now at SISTIC and are priced at $188, $148, $98, $88, $58 (not inclusive of $3 service charge). For an extended experience, there is the Horses Lovers Package that lets patrons tour Cavalia's stables after the show, and the VIP Rendez-Vous Package that includes a post-show tour, a cocktail/dinner reception and much more, priced from $208 to $288.
