Wu Chun brings daughter to Taiwan
Taiwan-based Bruneian actor Wu Chun was spotted in Taiwan with his three-year-old daughter Wu Xinyi (fondly known as Nei Nei) recently.
Rumour has it that they were there to shoot some outdoor scenes for Chinese reality TV show Daddy is Back.
However, Wu Chun’s manager has refuted the claim and said the former Fahrenheit member was in Taiwan to attend a good friend’s salon opening instead. Nei Nei came along because Wu Chun wanted to take the opportunity to travel and play with her.
Producers of Daddy is Back have also clarified that they are still in the midst of applying for a permit for their outdoor shoot.
Since participating in the reality TV show, Wu Chun’s career has hit another high and was reportedly paid some NT$58million (S$2.45million). Nei Nei has also created much buzz, having topped the “most searched” list on Chinese microblog site Weibo.
Last year, Taiwanese actor Jimmy Lin and his son Kimi also saw their popularity soar after participating in Hunan TV’s remake of hit Korean variety program Dad, Where Are We Going. They were said to have made NT$50million (S$2.11million).
