Xu Bin knocks Alien Huang out of #1 spot in SA2013 polls

This just in: After four weeks of frantic voting, the determination of Xu Bin’s fans have finally paid off – the actor has successfully clinched the number one position in this week’s Favourite Male Character category, kicking Taiwanese celebrity Alien Huang out of the top spot.

Xu Bin, who is nominated for his role as Zhong Jun Liang in Don’t Stop Believin’, did not even make it into the top three during the first round of voting. By the following week, however, he had climbed all the way to number two, beating hot favourites Romeo Tan and Christopher Lee.

Another hopeful who has risen in the ranks is Aloysius Pang, whose character Hao Zhi Jie in It Takes Two bagged him a mention. Despite not even making an appearance in the top three since voting began, he finally managed to overtake Romeo Tan’s second runner-up position this week. Fans of Romeo had better buck up for the next round of voting if they want to see him back in the top three!

The Favourite Host category also experienced a slight reshuffling. Bryan Wong is still holding on to his number one spot, but former second place holder Kate Pang has dropped out completely, with Dennis Chew taking over her position. Popular Taiwanese-born host Lee Teng also makes his first appearance in the top three.

Joanne Peh, Rebecca Lim and Ann Kok are still the top contenders for the new BottomSlim Sexiest Legs award, but this week, Rebecca’s fans have pushed her up one position to number two, forcing Ann to slide down to number three.

The remaining two categories have not faced any changes in their top three ranking. Rui En is still the choice starlet for both Favourite Female Character, followed by Kimberly Chia and Felicia Chin, while ‘RuiVin’ – the couple name for Elvin Ng and Rui En – are still ahead of Alien Huang and Rui En, and Christopher Lee and Jesseca Liu for Favourite Onscreen Couple.
