Veteran artistes Huang Wenyong, Chen Shucheng and Xiang Yun were presented the night's prestigious "Television Guru" award.

Wenyong, who looked pale and run down, left shortly after the show ended. During the backstage interview, longtime friend, Xiang Yun revealed that Wenyong had a virus infection, thus suffering from a fever recently. He remained uncontactable at press time.
