Georgia May Jagger has paid tribute to L'Wren Scott.

The model posted a moving message about her father Sir Mick Jagger's late girlfriend on her Instagram account, praising the fashion designer for being such an important part of their family and expressing her sadness at their loss.

Sharing a picture of L'Wren posing on her the red carpet next to her, Georgia wrote: ''I miss L'wren so much and I am so sad she isn't here anymore. She was such a big part of my life. I will never forget all the fun times we had together. She was part of our family and always will be. Rest in peace.''

The 22-year-old beauty's followers offered their sincere condolences to the Jagger family. One Instagram user wrote, ''So sad! Beautiful words, Georgia'', while another said, ''She was a beautiful and talented lady. Prayers to you!!''

This is the first time Georgia - whose mother is Mick's ex-wife Jerry Hall - has spoken publicly about L'Wren's death since the star was found dead after committing suicide in her New York apartment last month.

The model-turned-designer, who was aged just 49, was remembered with a funeral service in Los Angeles and her ashes have been divided between Utah, where she was laid to rest close to her parents, and with her partner of 13 years, Rolling Stones frontman Mick.
