Kevin Bacon's romantic bathtub surprise

Kevin Bacon installed a bath in his house as a romantic surprise for his wife.

Kyra Sedgwick - who has kids Travis, 23 and Sosi, 20, with the actor - loves soaking in the bathtub so Kevin ordered one for their New York home to make her happy.

He told People magazine: ''My wife always wanted a bathtub. So I secretly had one put in our New York home. Every time she takes a bath now, she tells me 'Thank you so much honey, I just had the greatest bath.'''

The thoughtful 'X-Men: First Class' actor recently revealed he is a doting husband and will always volunteer to tidy their house without having to be asked.

He said: ''Whatever needs to be done, I'll do it. I recently vacuumed and cleaned up the foamy insides of a dog toy. I buy our dogs Lilly and Rocky toys and within 24 hours there're piles of chewed up foam all over the house.''
