Hongki and Dasom

The final day of the 27th Golden Disk Awards ended on a high note with cheers and laughter from K-pop fans in Malaysia, and friends from neighbouring countries. Hosts Hongki from FT Island and Dasom from SISTAR played great hosts as they bounced off each other’s energy and gave a sterling duet on ‘Way Back Into Love’, which was made popular by Hugh Grant and Haley Bennett.

Some of the performance highlights included Ailee, who sauntered on stage and covered Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’, with her hands cuffed; and cutie Lee Hi who sang British singer Pixie Lott’s Mama Do. SISTAR’s stage prop included ‘cages’ which were lighted, whilst Huh Gak’s melodic performance was complemented with a beautiful nature projection. Meanwhile, BAP kept their female fans’ attention on them as they removed their studded jackets to show off their toned bodies.

All eyes were on G Dragon who kept the crowd pumping to ‘Get Your Crayon On’ and ‘Heartbreaker’ and the crowd was lapping for more!

The biggest winners of the night went to BIG BANG as they swept awards like the MSN International Star, Golden Disk Award Song Division, and CeCi Popularity Award (which went to G-Dragon)!

But all good things must come to an end, as the Song of The Year award was given to Psy, and his award was accepted by G-Dragon. The song ‘Oppa Gangnam Style,’ got the crowd in the mood to dance and as the final curtain, all artistes from Day Two went on stage to participate in the famous signature ‘horse dance moves’!
