Go Hyun Jung May Join Japanese Remake, 'The Queen's Classroom'

Go Hyun Jung may have found her comeback television piece.

Despite initial reports that the actress had been cast in a new MBC drama titled The Queen's Classroom, her agency clarified on January 10 that the actress was merely reviewing the offer from the drama's production and that nothing had been decided yet.

The Queen's Classroom is a remake of a popular and critically-acclaimed 2005 Japanese drama (titled 女王の教室 or Jyoo no Kyoushitsu) which aired back in 2005.

Should she take the part, Go Hyun Jung will play a new teacher at an elementary school whose rigid perfectionism and unique teaching methods conflicts with her students. In the original series, Yuki Amami played the teacher role.

The remake is still in its pre-production stage but is currently aiming to begin shooting in March with a potential June premiere on MBC.
