It’s a madhouse in the tent with flashlights going off non-stop. Time’s ticking away and the runway show is due to start in any moment. It’s either now or never, said the PR rep, as she led us towards Korean American actor Daniel Henney for a quick interview before the fashion show.
Dressed in a casual hemp suit, the 34-year-old who was seated just beside the Girls’ Generation trio made up of Seohyun, Hyoyeon and Yuri (with a bodyguard wedged between them) was polite to a fault and very obliging as he spared us a few minutes of his precious time for a short interview. While it lasted for only a very brief moment, we learned enough to know that he’s a big fan of Agent 007 (James Bond) and will be starring in a pilot episode of a brand new upcoming American series this year.
xinmsn: What’s next for you?
Daniel: Well, I go back to Korea tomorrow and I have a movie coming out – it’s called The Spy, an action movie. I have to go back to do promo, interviews and all that to get the word out. And I have a TV show in the States coming up soon.
Tell us more about your new TV show
It’s a pilot but we think it’s going to be picked up so we’re really excited about it. It’s on A&E and it’s kind of a thriller, kind of like The X-Files; it has a similar feel to it.
You’ve been playing a fair bit of agent roles lately. Are you getting tired of such roles yet?
I think if you get sick of working such roles, you have to make the roles your own – make them interesting and creative. So I don’t get sick of it. Every time I work as an agent or something – it’s a different cast and a different feel so I’m happy be working and I’m happy to have the opportunity.
