The production behind KBS’ Woochi recently unveiled new still cuts from the upcoming fusion-historic drama which stars Cha Tae Hyun stars as Jeon Woochi, a guru who aspires for revenge after losing both his father and his lover Hong Moo Yeon (Uee) due to the betrayal by a friend.
In the new preview still cuts released on November 16, the images show scenes from Woochi and Hong Moo Yeon’s past when they were shy lovers as the two share a sweet kiss amidst the autumn foliage outdoors.
Filmed in Moongyeong in Gyeongsangbuk-do on November 12, both Cha Tae Hyun and Uee had to work hard to make the scene seem warm and romantic despite the chilly temperatures from the rain showers earlier in the day and their thin hanboks.
Showing no signs of awkwardness, the two immediately jumped into character once the cameras started rolling to successfully shoot their kiss scenes without any NGs.
Cha Tae Hyun was largely credited for helping ensure the scene’s shooting went smoothly as he would make the atmosphere light and Uee laugh when she appeared nervous.
Following the kiss scene’s filming, Uee shared, “After shooting action scenes every day, I became a bit nervous shooting a tender scene for the first time in a long while. I feel I was able to convey that feeling properly. Thanks to Tae Hyun oppa’s help, I feel I was able to concentrate and fully become my Moo Yeon character so I’m very happy.”
Woochi premieres on November 21.
