Yoo Seung Jun talked in front of the Korean press for the first time in 10 years.
After handing out an award with Jackie Chan at the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), Yoo Seung Jun held an exclusive interview with press.
He said he is "full of emotion" and drew the line that he has "no plans to return to Korea or launch any new activities."
He also said to questions about the military that "it's a sensitive issue, so it's hard to answer."
"A decision I made in the past gave me so many difficulties between the time I was 26 until when I turned 36 that I can't put them into words. My heart breaks," he said.
"I came to see my juniors," he said. "I was happy they hugged me and welcomed me. I miss the stage, and I'm reminded of the old days."
In 2002, Yoo Seung Jun was forced to leave Korea and wasn't allowed to enter the country for avoiding to serve his military duties. He has continued to be active in China and voiced his wishes to be active in Korea but failed to draw support.
