[MAMA] Psy Says He Wants to Continue to be Loved in the Future

After selecting this year as his best year, Psy said, “Without any greed, I just want to continue receiving the love like now.”

Psy took home four awards at the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on November 30, including Best Dance Performance - Solo, Song of the Year, International Favorite Artist and Best Music Video.

On his win, Psy shared, “I'm so happy to have received these awards. This year will go down as an unforgettable one and I believe it is YG's year this year. As a YG artist, I am quite happy.”

He continued, “Though I'm disappointed I wasn't able to place first on the Billboard chart, I'm amazed that I can even be disappointed that I didn't place first on the Billboard Chart. Seeing so much interest in not just America but various countries, I'm very happy.”

Asked if he felt pressure to build on the success of Gangnam Style, Psy responded, “I will look on Gangnam Style as a syndrome, and I don't expect the follow-up single to top Gangnam Style. I just hope that that love will continue so I'm continuing to prepare some fun music.”
