'School 2013's Teacher Choi Daniel Only a Few Years Older than 'Student' Lee Jong Seok

They play teacher and student in their KBS drama, but just how far apart in age are Choi Daniel and Lee Jong Seok?

In KBS' School 2013, Choi Daniel plays Kang Se Chan, a high school instructor and the homeroom teacher of Lee Jong Seok's second year, high school student, Go Nam Soon.

Though the drama implies Choi Daniel is a much older school teacher, many netizens were surprised to learn in real life the 1986-born Choi Daniel is only 26 years old, making him just three years older than the 1989-born Lee Jong Seok.

Netizens expressed their surprise at the two actor's true age with comments like, “This can't be real” and “They look at least ten years apart.”

Many were surprised by Choi Daniel's age in the sitcom High Kick Through the Roof as well, as he played the uncle of Yoon Shi Yoon's character, though Yoon Shi Yoon was also born in 1986.
