Singer/songwriter Yoon Sang didn't hold back on his praise for the girl group SISTAR.
As the host of KM's Music Triangle, Yoon Sang had introduced SISTAR as the group which had two songs each on ranks 2 and 3 on the show's yearly chart, saying, "I can really feel how popular SISTAR is."
He especially opened up about how he had been surprised at SISTAR's performances.
Yoon Sang said, "I once got to see SISTAR perform up close, and their vocals were breathtaking. I thought something was wrong with me."
Lee Seung Hwan, who made an appearance this day, also had praise to give for the group.
"The team is a powerful one, seeing how it has two songs each on no. 2 and 3 on the yearly chart," he said.
On the December 26 broadcast of Music Triangle, SISTAR ranked second and third place on the show's 'Mnet.com 2012 Yearly Top 100'. It missed no. 1, which was taken over by Psy's Gangnam Style, by a close margin, showing it didn't fall behind the global star. The no. 2 song was Alone, released in April, while the no. 3 song was the group's summer special released in June, Loving U.
The day's episode compiled Mnet.com's download and streaming data from January 1, 2012 to December 9, and put together a chart named Mnet.com 2012 Yearly Top 100. It also evaluated the K-Pop trends of the year with a 'Yearly Genre Chart' and by picking out the song that stayed on the charts the longest.
Lee Seung Hwan, Huh Gak, Shin Hye Sung, Urban Zakapa, Jang Yoon Ju, Daybreak, One More Chance, Wiretap In My Ear, Romantic Punch, Hi.ni and more also performed this day.
