Dal Shabet Pays Visit to Infant Born with Liver Defect

The Dal Shabet members have demonstrated that their hearts reflect their sweet image.

On January 24, the Dal Shabet members paid a special visit to an infant girl born in Gyeonggi-do's Osan. The infant, who is just 25 months old, was born with biliary atresia, a congenital disease where one is born without a bile duct that connects the liver to the small intestine and can lead to liver failure.

Showing up with toys and a donation, the members came to encourage the infant girl's family and to give them hope as the baby girl would soon be receiving surgery to treat her case.

The visit was made in part of a campaign with Daum that helps support families whose babies are born prematurely. On hearing about the infant girl's case, the Dal Shabet members decided to pay a visit to show their support.

Dal Shabet's leader, Serri, shared, “After hearing about this unfortunate case, the Dal Shabet members decided to pay a visit in hopes that we would offer some help. We hope [she] will quickly regain her health and soon start eating regularly and playing with dolls like her same-aged friends and grow up healthy.”

As part of the campaign, the Dal Shabet members donated six of their stage outfits for sale, which raised a record 3.89 million won for the cause.
