Some would say that Girls Generation is the reigning Queen of K-Pop, but ask any Blackjack (2NE1s fans) and they would tell you otherwise. Hailing from the land of kimchi, the quartet debuted in 2009 and took the world by storm with their edgy, funky music and image. Choosing to focus more on the quality rather than quantity, the girl group has only released a total of two studio albums in their five-year career. I think we have good music and we do what we like () we never changed and YG is just YG, leader CL explained.

Visiting Singapore for their second local concert, 2NE1 revealed that fans ran after us at the airport last night, whereas the screaming crowd of 3,000 Blackjacks waited for over four hours to catch a glimpse of their idols. Declarations of love, marriage proposals and more were spotted at their first-ever open press conference at Square 2, where hordes of disgruntled passers-by evacuated the atrium in order to get away from the fray.

One reporter tried to draw first blood by asking about the girls ideal types but was quickly shot down before the group had a chance to hear the question and that is not because they cannot understand English (Dara and CL spoke in English throughout the press conference) but because the piercing screams of the fans drowned out voices, including those amplified by microphones. Scary.
