The member of the Korean boy band was previously known as Junsu, but declared on Twitter in October that he would be changing his name to Min-jun “because of a family matter”.

He posted his announcement in English, Japanese and Korean, sparking questions on the sudden change. Speculations rose that the name change was in part due to his father’s unfortunate passing earlier this year.

The verdict: It may be too early to say, with the name change taking place a mere three months ago. But Jun.K’s band is 2PM is currently enjoying a successful concert tour.
