It’s not every day that you get a legendary K-Pop group like Shinhwa showering compliments on their juniors in the industry. Andy, the founder of Teen Top, mentioned in an earlier email interview with xinmsn that he “feels a sense of satisfaction” whenever he watches the boys as he “sees Shinhwa’s past in them.”
xinmsn was invited to the MBC Korean Music Wave 2013 press conference in Seoul last Tuesday, where we caught up with Teen Top, who were pleasantly surprised to learn about their mentor’s comments. “It’s amazing and an honour to think that we are similar to Shinhwa, and we are very thankful for them,” said Chunji.
Adding on, L.Joe shared that though the sextet do not get to meet up with their hyung (which means “older brother” in Korean) often due to their busy schedules, Andy would visit them after their comeback performances to advise them on ways to improve.
Three years since their debut, Teen Top recently wrapped up their first European tour in February and the boys are looking forward to returning to Singapore this November with a brand new album.
So, what kind of concept can fans expect from their impending comeback?
“We are focusing on the ‘soul’ part this time,” L.Joe quipped.
