Turning up in a suave dark grey suit-and-pants outfit, South Korean actor Hyun Bin showed us why he is a heartthrob back home and across Asia at his public press conference at Bugis Plus Shopping Mall yesterday.

Judging from the fans who have gathered to catch a glimpse of the Secret Garden star, it is evident that Hyun Bin has captured the hearts of the ladies from all age groups.

When asked on his own perception of the ‘appeal’ that he possesses, the actor suggested to ask the fans instead.

From his 1.84-metre build, to his charismatic gaze to his warm smile (not to mention that killer dimple) and to his manly mannerism, this guy is a charmer, out-and-out.

“Nah, I’m human too,” said the actor who rates himself a mere 30 out of 100 for his ‘appeal factor’.

Despite his “Mr. Perfect” label, Hyun Bin was noticeably humble and attributed his popularity to the “pleasing” and “desirable” roles which have been given to him thus far.

While the kiyomi craze (a cutesy dance routine which originated from Korea) has become the current viral hit across the globe, the 30-year-old was horrified at the request for him to “act cute”.

“It’s too difficult!” he exclaimed.

Even though the peace sign was the best pose he could manage, we had to give him brownie points for trying.
