Repackaged Singapore-Korean girl group SKarf talked about their new direction after the member change while South Korean hip hop quartet M.I.B is thrilled to be back in Singapore

What better way to mark the end of 2012 than with two K-Pop groups performing at the year-end party after the Hallyu wave took over Singapore, and the world, by storm.

K-Pop bands SKarf and M.I.B (Most Incredible Busters) as well as Kyle Patrick, front man of American pop band The Click Five, and Malaysia's songstress Sheila Majid, attended the press conference for "Celebrate 2013" at The Float @ Marina Bay yesterday.

Making their very first appearance as a repackaged unit, SKarf officially announced that they are now a five-member group, following the departure of main vocalist Sol which saw the addition of two new members, 22-year-old JooA and 16-year-old maknae (youngest member) Hana.

The girls shared their excitement on ushering the new year in Singapore, especially for the two Singaporean members. Leader Tasha and main rapper Ferlyn even called themselves faithful audiences of the annual countdown show before they became idols. New member JooA said this is her first time being away from home for the special occasion and expressed her happiness and honour to debut on such a memorable stage.

Speaking on New Year resolutions, Tasha promised that the "reborn" SKarf would become a stronger team vocal-wise and she hopes the group will draw bigger success in the upcoming year. The girls are taking lessons to improve their performing skills at the moment and they aim to develop in different areas such as hosting on variety programs.
