Always passcode-lock your phone

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun was caught in a spot when a woman claiming to have his ex-girlfriend’s phone, which in turn had his phone number, text messages and photos of the two, blackmailed him.

The over-zealous lady was later sentenced to jail but we can only imagine the amount of stress that both Yoo Chun and his alleged ex-girlfriend felt during the entire ordeal.

One simple solution: passcode-lock your phone. This might not be the fail-proof method of protecting all your data, but at the very least, it serves as a form of deterrent if someone ends up picking up your phone.

It is probably also a good idea to request that your ex deletes anything that can link back to you – that is, if you two are on speaking terms and not on the road of I-want-to-ruin-your-life. If you fall within the latter category, we can only say this: good luck.
