One simply cannot mention Kim Jong Kook without discussing that cut physique of his. The well-built muscleman admitted to being quite harsh on himself when sweating it out in the gym – a confession that comes as no surprise. He added that he was also hard on his Running Man cast mates and workout buddies, Lee Kwang Soo and HaHa, when training them in the past. These days, he just tries to accommodate to what each person needs. “I worked them so hard they could quit anytime soon!”

When asked to share his thoughts on 2 Days & 1 Night, another hugely successful variety show that's considered one of Running Man's "rivals", Jong Kook clarified that he doesn’t feel as though they're in a duel with one another. “Each program has its own style, and I wish nothing but the best to everyone on 2 Days & 1 Night,” he said.

In fact, one of the cast members, Cha Tae Hyun, is a close friend of Jong Kook’s, and the pair has talked about appearing in each others’ shows. “Sometimes he calls me while they’re shooting, but for some reason, they never air those parts!”

While a majority of Running Man’s episodes have been filmed in South Korea, Jong Kook told us that there are plans to take the show to more countries (and yes, Singapore’s definitely a spot worth keeping in view!). Another locale that Jong Kook is extremely keen on is Los Angeles, where he has plenty of friends. When asked which star he’d like to invite as a guest on the show, Jong Kook thought for a few seconds before settling on Will Smith, whom he sung with in his Turbo days.

A Hollywood-slash-Hallyuwood Running Man special? Definitely worth dreaming for.
