Repackaged after a change in members, South Korean rookie boyband A-Prince (formerly known as TAKEN) is eager to show off their brand new side with an impending comeback. In Singapore for the very first time, the five-member group will debut their upcoming single “Mambo” (tentative title) at their showcase this afternoon.

Despite their ‘princely’ labels, Sungwon, Minhyuk, Seungjun, Siyoon and Woobin did not shy away from exposing each other’s weird habits at the press conference yesterday. Who knew that “Cutie Prince” Siyoon snores and sings while in dreamland, and that “Prince of Prince” Sungwon was once found crying in his sleep in the middle of the night?

Every clique needs a mood maker, especially when the boys literally have to face each other round the clock living together in the dormitory. During the interview with xinmsn, A-Prince was gleeful to share with us some interesting trivia about their daily lives. Agreed by all the members, leader Sungwon was pointed out as the one who always cheers up his dongsaengs (younger brothers) whenever they are worn out from their training.

Naming himself as the umma (mother) of the group since he is the eldest member and is thus responsible for taking care of the other four lads, Sungwon then chose rapper Minhyuk for the role of the appa (father). However, Siyoon was quick to respond to the claim, saying, “It’s the opposite!”

“I think that fathers are ‘scarier’ and strict, so Sungwon fits the “appa” figure more. Minhyuk, on the other hand, looks after us like our mums,” he explained.

Although Siyoon considers himself as the best chef in the group, the rest of the members seemed to think otherwise as they revealed that maknae (youngest member) Woobin, who celebrates his 17th birthday today, actually cooks better than the “Cutie Prince”. When asked on the dish that he is good at, the young chap answered abashedly, “Ramyeon!”
