It’s only been four months since SECRET’s car crash made headlines, but the Korean girl group is back in full force again.

The quartet, consisting of Jeon Hyosung, Jung Hana (better known as Zinger), Song Jieun and Han Sunhwa, were in town yesterday for a press conference and autograph session at the Pan Pacific hotel. And less than two weeks from now, they’ll be staging their very first full-fledged concert in Singapore.

“We’re sorry it took so long for us to finally have a concert,” said Hyosung, the leader and oldest member of the group, through a translator. “But we prepared very hard for it, and we’re looking forward to showing our fans a different side of us.”

Concertgoers can look forward to interactive segments and their favourite SECRET hits. Besides that, the members will each have their own solo stages, but that won’t be the only time they do a one-woman show. In addition to a new SECRET album, they also announced their plans to release solo records.

Singing isn’t the only area the girls are dabbling in, as they revealed in a roundtable interview with xinmsn. Zinger is trying her hand at songwriting, and plans to produce her own album. Jieun, who has already enjoyed solo success, will work on another record, while Hyosung hopes to gain more recognition as an emcee.

As for Sunhwa, she is currently filming a drama called CF Genius, which co-stars Jin Goo and Han Chae-young. “Also, if I get the chance, I’d love to work on another duet with B.A.P’s Youngjae,” she added. The single, ‘Everything is Pretty’, was released in December last year.

Despite the collaboration, SECRET admitted that they consider B.A.P one of their main rivals. “Although we’re a girl band, we compare ourselves to male groups like SHINee, B.A.P, Infinite and Teen Top, because of our strong, powerful performances,” Hyosung explained.
