Rising Hallyu stars Seo In Guk and Jung Eun-ji are keeping their feet on the ground despite garnering much praise and new fans after their enthralling performance in the hit Korean drama series Reply 1997. In an email interview with xinmsn, the pair recalled on the few intriguing moments they had during filming of the hit drama.
As In Guk and Eun-ji were not acquainted before working together on the drama, the former admitted that they were "uncomfortable around each other" initially. Their common start in showbiz - they both started out as singers and soldiered to overcome the obstacles faced by singers-turned-actors - helped ease away the initial awkwardness between them.
In Guk was the Season 1 winner of popular talent reality program Superstar K while Eun-ji is the main vocalist of idol girl group A Pink. Though both of them are rookie actors, In Guk is regarded as the 'senior' between the two, as he had his small screen debut with a supporting role in KBS drama Love Rain. Eun-ji was especially thankful for her co-star's hearty advice during her maiden acting stint.
In response to reports which claimed that In Guk and Eun-ji had to film 16 takes for their first kiss scene, the actor clarified that the reason for that was because they had to shoot from many different camera angles.
Kissing scenes may look romantic on TV, but In Guk revealed that he was just hoping to finish the take quickly as he was topless and drenched in water.
