The two main leads of the Korean drama series shared insights on their first leading roles and revealed their aspirations for the new year

Due to the amount of hype and sensationalised media coverage on their kissing scenes in Reply 1997, In Guk felt bad that Eun-ji had to pacify her parents over their widely discussed 'intimate scenes' and jokingly protested that "it is the director's fault".

The 25-year-old also heard of how fans loved those scenes and confessed that he is still confused by the conflicting response.

The success of the drama created many opportunities for In Guk and Eun-ji to appear on stage together and the pair subsequently recorded two duet singles. Though they have not met up for a while as they are both busy with their respective schedules, In Guk mentioned that they are still in contact via text messages.

"There never was a time when we lose that connection with each other because of the special appearances that we have together as a TV drama couple," he added.

Reply 1997 is now showing on channel M (SingTel mioTV Channel 518 and StarHub Channels 824/874), every Monday and Tuesday at 8pm and 11pm.
