With just one more week to go before Girls’ Generation takes the stage at the Indoor Stadium, xinmsn caught up with the South Korean girl group in an email interview prior to their Singapore gig.
As a testament to their immense popularity, the one-night only concert sold out within the first day of public sales. Grateful for the overwhelming response despite their less-than-frequent visits here, Girls’ Generation expressed their appreciation for the local SONEs (official fanclub name), saying, “Thank you so much for not forgetting us, and for the great support all these years. Let’s have fun together on the concert day!”
It has been two years since the girls last performed a full-length concert in Singapore. So, what is the biggest change in the group over this period of time?
“We think we’ve matured as artistes, and we have grown up as individuals. Should we say we are now ‘Ladies’ Generation’ instead of ‘Girls’ Generation’?” said the nonet.
Although there will be no solo performances by the members this time around, fans can expect “amazing” special stages put up by the girls – one of which includes a segment where a 3D hologram video will be played.
