Uhm Tae-woong marries ballerina

Actor Uhm Tae-woong is officially off the market. The 38-year-old entertainer tied the knot with his pregnant ballerina fiancee yesterday.

The wedding was a low-key event attended by close friends and relatives at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeouido, western Seoul.

Uhm’s agency head, Sim Jung-woon of Sim Entertainment, hosted the event while Uhm’s friend and co-star of “1 Night 2 Days,” Sung Si-kyung, and singer Yoo Hee-yeol serenaded the couple.

Uhm made the announcement in November that he would wed, much to the shock of fans. His new wife is award-winning ballerina Yoon Hye-jin, who is three months pregnant. She is the daughter of actor Yoon Il-bong and a niece of Yoo Dong-geun and Jun In-hwa.

Leading up to the nuptials, Uhm’s agency said that due to Yoon’s state, the couple decided to postpone their honeymoon trip.

Uhm and Yoon met in June 2011 through Uhm’s sister, singer and actress Uhm Jung-hwa, and he professed that it was love at first sight.
