The South Korean boyband showed what it takes to steal a noona’s heart

No stranger to Singapore, South Korean quintet NU’EST returned to our sunny island for the third time in a year, for the Vizit Korea exhibition held at Singapore Expo this weekend.
It was heartening to watch JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren strut their stuff at the “In Singapore with LOVE” gig last night, for they have noticeably improved on their stage presence by leaps and bounds since their first visit.
This time round, the boys truly looked like they have shed their rookie-ness and were enjoying themselves during the show – something which we reckon differentiates a good and a mediocre performer.
Considering the ticket price of S$48, local L.O.Λ.E (official name for NU’EST’s fans) certainly got their money’s worth with a setlist that consisted of 10 songs and three outfit changes, a lucky draw segment where winners received the gifts personally from the members on stage, and a high-five session at the end of the show.
While many in the crowd were young girls screaming until their voices were hoarse to grab their oppas’ attention, NU’EST’s matured side – coupled with some small adorable actions – showed the boys’ growing ability to win a noona’s (an affectionate term used by a guy to address an older female) heart.
Click on to find out why NU’EST could possibly become the next noona killer!
