Australian magazine defends planned publication of bikini-clad Kate photos

An Australian women's magazine has defended its decision to publish pictures of a bikini-clad Duchess of Cambridge which show her baby bump

The magazine, "Women's Day", said the photos were a "beautiful" set of images.

It is set to run shots of Prince William's wife Catherine in its next edition on Monday.

The pictures were taken while the royals were holidaying on the Caribbean island of Mustique

The Australian magazine took the lead from an Italian publication, Chi, which also decided to print the photos of the private holiday

The decision has drawn criticism from St. James's Palace that the publication was a breach of privacy.
