Hillary Clinton hospitalized with blood clot
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been hospitalized after suffering a blood clot following an accident earlier this month.
According to State Department spokesman Philippe Reines, during the course of a follow-up exam, doctors discovered that a blood clot had formed, stemming from a concussion she sustained several weeks ago.
Mrs Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants.
She's currently at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Earlier this month, Mrs Clinton was suffering from a stomach virus when she fainted due to dehydration, causing the concussion.
But her office insisted that she was recovering and that the top US diplomat was expected back at her desk later today.
