Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak meets BN leaders on fielding of electoral candidates

Several leaders of Malaysia's ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition met today with the country's Prime Minister Najib Razak.

The leaders of the various component parties, including MCA President Chua Soi Lek and MIC President G Palanivel, are believed to have met Mr Najib at his office in Putrajaya

The discussions are said to be a continuation of several meetings held since last week between Mr Najib, who is also the BN chairman, and all the state BN leaders

They were reportedly talking about the candidates who would be contesting the 13th general election.

Malaysian media reported that the meetings indicated that the general election is getting closer.
