Mardan Mamat is beaten by Thai rookie for the King's Cup title

Singapore's Mardan Mamat finished in joint 2nd place at the US$500,000 dollar King's Cup in Thailand yesterday.
Despite being the overnight leader, Mardan lost the chance to win the title by just 2 strokes.
His 3-under 69 total yesterday was no match for 24 year old Arnold Vongvanij, who carded a 64.
In German football action,
Werder Bremen striker Marko Arnautovich scored a hat-trick to lead his team to a 4-1 victory at Hoffenheim.
With the win, Bremen are 8th on the table with 21 points and the loss was the 4th successive for Hoffenheim coach, Markus Babbel.
