Singapore's non-oil domestic exports or NODX fell more than expected last month.
Exports contracted 16.3 percent in December, from a year ago, due to a decrease in both electronics and non-electronics shipments.
But on a month-on-month basis, it rose nearly 2 percent.
Electronics exports slumped over 19 percent on-year due to a sharp fall of integrated circuits, parts of PCs and disk media products.
Non-electronics shipments also put in a poor performance.
Exports in this segment dropped nearly 15 percent, led by structures of ships & boats, pharmaceuticals and specialised machinery.
The top destination contributing to nodx's decline was the US.
